Supplementary Nutritional Support

Supplementary-Nutritional-Support - dbdoc

Well-nourished children are more likely to be healthy, productive and ready to learn. Malnutrition affects chances of survival for children, increases their susceptibility to illness, reduces their ability to learn, and makes them less productive in later life. t is estimated that malnutrition is a contributing factor in about one-third of all deaths of children under the age of 5.

DBDOC through provides Supplementary Nutritional Support (SNS) to the poor and needy children from our tuition and rural boarding centers. Most of the children come from poor family background, their family income is not enough to support wholesome nutrition diet for their children, educational costs and medical costs. The SNS program identifies such needy, malnourished children and provide them support by giving them supplementary dry ration kits to the children at regular intervals. Our kits are planned to meet the nutritional deficiencies of the children and provide them a balanced diet.
