What we do

Women Empowerment

A nation can only prosper in the long run if society would uplift the status of underprivileged women. The contribution of women empowerment in the development and success of a country is enormous. By going through the stats and figures concerning countries where a significant section of women gets empowered, you will find that countries wherein the concept of women empowerment is highly applicable in society are progressing at a rapid pace.
Through various initiatives, DBDOC is providing more power to women by enabling them with all the resources and development skills so that they can live a self-reliant life. DBDOC’s vision of holistic development affirms the essential linkages between education, social justice and economic inclusion and empowerment. We have envisioned inclusive programs of women’s empowerment that addresses concerns of gender equity by fostering skill-building and capacity-development amongst women from some of the country’s poorest neighborhoods.
Women’s effective and gainful participation in the workforce is recognized not only as a precondition to holistic community development, but a fundamental indicator of how a nation treats crucial half of its population – its women. Vocational training and adult literacy programs remain critical for both, women’s economic self-sufficiency and their quest of dignity and empowerment.
