Presently DBDOC is looking for a MIS Manager for Tribal Development Programme. The incumbent will report to the Head (Programmes)  and lead the project team for all MIS related activities.

Position: Manager (MIS)

Number of vacancy: One

Location: Kolkata

Reporting to: Head (Programmes)

Job Summary and Major Responsibilities

Develop and/or update guidelines and systems for administration and finance Don Bosco Tech Society.

Serve as focal point for donors, auditors and other statutory bodies for skill development projects.

Establish and ensure compliance to financial and administration towards minimization and elimination of financial risks

Lead the budget preparation and revisions, and finalization with fellow national team for initial and annual budgets

Support for planning of activities for monthly, quarterly and yearly basis along with the national/program management teams

Oversight of routine accounting of the national and state teams, including the day-to- day maintenance of accounts and daily updating in Tally software, review of advances, settlements and documentation etc.

Ensure statutory compliances related to TDS, Provident Fund and Professional Tax of the vendors and staff, and timely reporting to government

Ensure compliance with donor financial reporting and procedures

Undertake periodic HR, administrative and programme-finance, and budget-expenditure-variance analysis-forecast reviews along with fellow national team and develop measures for efficient management

Facilitate annual financial audits and adherence to recommendations made by the auditors

Ensuring timely fund release and fund availability with the regional/state teams including verification and approval of requisitions submitted by the state teams

Review and reconcile monthly / quarterly financial reports of regional/state teams

Train and mentor administration and finance teams across state teams through supportive monitoring visits and conduct periodic reviews

Build the capacity of project team to ensure risk free finance management systems as per the policies and standards

Coordinate with Operations team for finalization of accounts and reports submissions

Undertake any other activities as required by the project and organisation

Qualification and Experience:

Post-graduate and / or professional qualification in Commerce (M. Com / MA-Economics / Chartered Accountancy), with minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial management, sub-grants management and administration in NGO sector or Undergraduate (B.Com or allied) with more than 10 years of experience.

Proven ability at Manager level, overseeing financial management and partner management of multi-state complex projects with tight deadlines and ambitious targets

Proven ability in interfacing with donors and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

Experience in developing grant and financial management systems

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and working knowledge of Hindi

Willingness to be based in Delhi and travel occasionally to the project implementation states and districts in India

Strong ability to train and mentor staff in accounting, financial management, program-finance variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting

Sound computer skills, including use of Internet and MS Office™ software and Tally accounting package (ERP version)

Strong analytical capabilities and experience in generating monthly and quarterly status reports and projections

Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment

Ability to mentor individuals and teams
