DBDOC believes that every child is special; and they should excel in all spheres of life. So they need special attention and care after school hours but the uneducated and poor parents could neither teach them nor afford a private tutor to support them. As a result, the child could not do the homework properly and soon after he loses interest to go to school.

DBDOC introduced tuition centers at various locations under the Salesian Province of Kolkata to provide quality education, training and skills to the poor, vulnerable and underprivileged children. The tuition centers through its educational program and bridge classes aims not only at giving the children quality education and a safe environment but also focuses on their overall growth, by providing them with like skills training, sensitizing them on issues of child abuse and child protection. Educational aids like stationary, text books and copies are supplied to encourage the children and their families to continue their education apart from this supplementary nutritional support is also provided. These tuition centers also impart computer literacy as an add-on training to enable the children to become much more proficient in using computers thus empowering them to be gainfully employed in the future.
