Majority of the children attending our rural schools, boardings and free tuition centers comes from poor marginalized communities. Their family income is too little to meet all their needs hence majority of the children end up having many underlying health issues. Over time, with negligence this issues become causes of major diseases and sicknesses.

Children’s health is one of the major areas that gets affected due to lack of proper medical facilities. There is a lack of knowledge about proper eating diet and preventive care, and basic hygiene awareness is minimal. There is also lack of accessibility to the nearest hospitals which delays immediate patient care. Under this holistic child development approach, DBDOC regularly organizes Medical check-up camps for the children where free medical consultation and medicine provided to the children. The main purpose of these camps is to identify the underlying health issues among the children and cure them.
