Capturing the Joy of Children’s Day

Rooted in the timeless values envisioned by our founder, Don Bosco, we believe a child’s deepest joy comes from feeling loved and valued. Guided by this principle, our institutions are committed to transforming the lives of children and fostering their seamless inclusion into society.

Inspiration for this mission also stems from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, who dedicated his birthday as Children’s Day to honor and celebrate childhood. However, for many underprivileged children living in slums, opportunities to partake in festive occasions are scarce.

At Don Bosco, we embrace Children’s Day as a chance to spread joy and create lasting memories for these children. This year’s celebrations featured an array of activities, including cultural performances, games, and the distribution of gifts, prizes, and treats. The children’s enthusiasm was palpable as they immersed themselves in the festivities, filling the day with excitement, laughter, and happiness.

Our unwavering commitment remains to ensure every child feels cherished and valued. Through efforts like these, we strive to bring smiles to young faces and make every day a celebration of the wonder and joy of childhood.
