Educational-Aid - dbdoc

While the government has taken strong measures to in area of education, such as the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan schemes, yet the poor children from marginalised and underprivileged communities remain crippled by illiteracy and lack of education. Accessibly to schools are limited and factors such as widespread child labour that supplements household incomes, contribute to the steady rise in schools dropouts.

Since the parents themselves have very little or no education, their priorities differ, making it difficult for them to value education for their children. Other factors such as displacement, migration, too contribute to making education a minimal priority. Keeping this in mind, DBDOC’s Educational Aid Program aims to support and motivate the underprivileged children and their parents by providing for free educational stationary, school fess reimbursement, school uniforms and accessories from time to time. All the children linked to any of our educational interventions are beneficiaries of the program. Every year DBDOC supports about 100 deserving children by awarding Scholarships to pursue their higher educational program. The main objective of this program is to enable and empower the young men and women to reach their full potential as leaders and contributors within their sphere of influence.
