Don Bosco Development Society, Culcutta (DBDOC) was registered under the Registration of Societies West Bengal Act XXVI, 1861 vide registration certificate number S/84297. DBDOC has been granted an exemption under section 12A of the Income Tax Act, 1961, vide letter number DIT (E) / S-12/ 8E /164 /96-97, dated 11-06-1997. The Society has also obtained exemption u/s 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The Society has been registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 for carrying out activities with registration number 147120522 dated 10 August 2016.

FCRA

Foreign Contributions Regulations Act 1976 or FCRA is a law of the Government of India which regulates receipt of foreign contributions or aid from outside India to Indian Territory. This is essential to ensure that such aid does not affect political or any other situation in India. The new FCRA Rules, 2011 effective from 1st May 2011, makes it obligatory for organisations receiving more than INR 1 Crore as foreign donation in a financial year to place the summary data of their receipts in public domain. Therefore, in compliance with this regulation, we are placing the data of all of our centres which have received more than INR 1 Crore as donation from outside India.
