DBDOC hosted a three-day residential training program at Nitika Don Bosco from January 20th to 22nd, 2025, uniting 24 educators and community workers from Azimganj, Polsondamore, Gazole, Barapahari, and Joypur. The program was thoughtfully designed to align with organizational objectives and aimed to equip participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to effectively serve children and communities in rural tuition centers and hostels.

The program began with an inspiring address by the esteemed Vice-Provincial of the Kolkata Province, Fr. Sunil Kerketta, setting an uplifting tone for the sessions to follow. The opening session explored key concepts of counseling and child psychology, offering participants valuable insights. This was followed by engaging sessions on database management, center dashboard operations, and effective documentation techniques for daily activities, aimed at enhancing reporting and data tracking efficiency. A detailed briefing on the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) project provided guidance on efficient data collection, community engagement strategies, and the importance of collaborative discussions. The training also highlighted the significance of the ASER survey, complemented by practical hands-on exposure to dashboard management operations. The final day offered a refreshing change with a recreational outing and team-building exercises, fostering collaboration, camaraderie, and stronger interpersonal connections among participants.

The program concluded with a feedback session, certification ceremony, and a heartfelt vote of thanks, honoring the dedication and commitment of all attendees. This transformative initiative empowered participants with the knowledge and tools required to better serve children and communities while ensuring efficient reporting and database management.
